The Penguin Project Of Muskegon Civic Theatre brings the beloved animated series, SpongeBob Square Pants to life! Plunge into this stunning all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic stage show! When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
Company
From musical theatre's most renowned composer, Stephen Sondheim, and the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics, and Best Book, Company follows the story of confirmed bachelor, Robert. On the night of his 35th birthday, he contemplates his unmarried state and over the course of a series of dinners, drinks, and even a wedding, "those good and crazy people [his] married friends" explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions.
It's A Wonderful Life
It's a Wonderful Life is the beloved saga of everyman George Bailey, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. George’s guardian angel must descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him—by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born—that he has indeed lived a wonderful life. This adaptation of the celebrated film not only cheers the spirit of the holiday season but also honors the love of one's family and the support of one’s community.
Lifespan of a Fact
Jim Fingal is a fresh-out-of-Harvard fact checker for a prominent but sinking New York magazine. John D’Agata is a talented writer with a transcendent essay about the suicide of a teenage boy that could save the magazine from collapse. When Jim is assigned to fact check D’Agata’s essay, the two come head-to-head in a comedic yet gripping battle over facts versus truth.
The Importance of Being Earnest
The classic Oscar Wilde comedy of searing wit and double lives! While assuming the role of a dutiful guardian in the country, Jack lets loose in town under a false identity. Meanwhile, his friend Algy adopts a similar facade. Hoping to impress two eligible ladies, the gentlemen find themselves caught in a web of lies they must carefully navigate. A hilarious farce you won’t want to miss!
