SEASON 41 SATURDAY CLASSES
Classes are open to students currently enrolled in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Payment for classes must be made, in full, before the start of each semester.
MCT reserves the right to cancel or combine classes that do not meet the required enrollment.
Partial scholarships are available by contacting the MCT office.
There are no refunds available once classes have begun.
Registrations will end after the first class of each session.
Share Days will take place on the final class day of each session. Families are welcome to attend a short presentation by each class.


Novice Acting
Kindergarten
Students in Kindergarten explore using their imaginations through dramatic play, creative movement, and storytelling. They build confidence by expressing emotions with their face, voice, and body, while learning to listen, follow directions, and work together on stage.

Apprentice Acting
Grades 1-2
In this class, students build confidence and expressive skills through storytelling, movement, and character work. Using role-play, improvisation, and group activities, they explore emotion, stage direction, and collaboration, laying the groundwork for future acting.

Intermediate Acting
Grades 3-5
In this class, students strengthen acting skills through text analysis, character relationships, and ensemble work. Using physical theatre, viewpoints, and vocal techniques, they build complex characters and develop stamina for partner and group scenes.

Journeyman Acting
Grades 6-8
Our intermediate class introduces character development through emotion, voice, and movement. Students use improvisation and scene work to make character choices, build confidence, and learn to listen and respond on stage.

Virtuoso Acting
Grades 9-12
This advanced class focuses on deep character exploration, style, and genre through partnered scenes, ensemble work, and monologue preparation. With an emphasis on script and character analysis, they develop a personalized acting process, build truthful, compelling performances, and prepare for collegiate or professional auditions.

Intro to Musical Theatre
Grades 3-5
This elective introduces students in grades 3–8 to musical theatre through fun, supportive lessons in singing, movement, and character work. It builds confidence, stage presence, and storytelling skills—an ideal first step before performance-based classes.

Performance Lab Jr
Grades 3-5
Performance Lab Jr is a beginner class for grades 3–5, introducing young actors to rehearsal and performance. Through ensemble work, students build confidence and stage skills, leading to a fully staged Spring Production. Some extra rehearsals may be required. PERFORMANCE LAB JR IS ONLY OFFERED DURING OUR WINTER AND SPRING SESSIONS. STUDENTS MUST REGISTER FOR BOTH SESSIONS.

Performance Lab
Grades 6-12
Performance Lab is a production-focused class for experienced middle and high school actors. Students deepen their skills through rehearsals and ensemble work, leading to full staged performances in the Fall and Winter. Extra evening or weekend rehearsals are required for this rewarding, real-world theatre experience. PERFORMANCE LAB IS ONLY OFFERED DURING OUR FALL AND WINTER SESSIONS.
